One Day Tile

Lately I have been working on several kitchen and bath remodels which means I have spent a fair amount of time looking at tile. There are so many options out there I find myself daydreaming about what will go in my "one day" house. Will I go calm and elegant?
Or take a walk on the wild side?

Or maybe ultra clean and contemporary....
Although if you know me, you know that I will probably have to incorporate something geometric. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tub surround and floor...

You don't have to go over the top though to make a statement. I love the way these kitchens use just a pop of blue to make a visual impact.

I am thinking about incorporating this into a kitchen possibly using one of these...

Of course, at the end of the day, my true dream kitchen looks something like this...
or this...
And this one is definitely the bathroom of my dreams....
What do you prefer when it comes to tile? Any favorites? Any dislikes?

Quiet Time- One Of A Kind

"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us."

Susie from So Blessed left this in a comment last week and I just loved it. All of us want to be loved, want to feel special and will search high and low to find that when God loves you right now, right where you are, just as you are.

It also reminds of this book we studied one time that talked about how God made you exactly the way you are, so when you are not happy with your appearance, etc. you are insulting what God made. I think about this a lot when I am critiquing myself in the mirror or comparing myself to others and find comfort in knowing God made exactly the way I am.

What I Am Loving This Week

This tile.... These lamps....
This Linen Cabinet, in person it is the perfect shade of gray. Notice the detail in the back too... This nail polish I picked up yesterday at the grocery store. While it is called Steel Her Heart, it should really be called something like Annie Get Your Gun because it is a great gunmetal shade.
These plates....

Ahh!!! I am having major computer issues and now I can't find where I found these. Help!!!!! Does these look familiar to anyone? I will update when I figure it out.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Blue News

Once upon a time, I was a jean snob. However, times have changed and I am now open to all jeans. In fact, as it turns out, I look better in some "regular" brands. With that being said, I broke my shopping sabbatical and spent $60 at Old Navy on 3 pairs of jeans. Right now all O.N. jeans are on sale for $19.99....just a little FYI. It feels wonderful to walk out of a store with 3 new pairs of jeans without even hitting triple digits.

In other "blue" news, you must check out the new Etsy shop, Blueprint Bliss Designs, from my wonderful friend Brooke. Her designs are SOOOOO cute. The perfect gifts for the new little blessings in your life.

Not only does she make the cutest stuff for the little ones, but she also creates very cool invitations and paper products. Be sure to visit!

While looking on Etsy for Brooke's store I came across several cool "blueprint" items. Any of these would look amazing framed. I would love a collection of blueprints on my wall. While not for your wall, these are equally interesting.
Blueprint prints here, here, here and here.

Anyone currently have a blueprint collection? Or favorite jeans that are reasonably priced?

Put These In My File Please

I keep detailed files on all my clients. While most of the file contents refer to current projects and details; they also have wishes, ideas, and thoughts on their "future/dream" homes. If I kept a file on myself all these images from Sunny's Good Time Paints found via Under A Green Roof, would go straight into it.

Will You Be The New Home For My Work?

While we are on offices I thought we could look at some great desks that are available out there. First, possibly the coolest desks ever. Why are these desks so special? They are upholstered in grass cloth, that is right- colored grass cloth. These are so beautiful and interesting that they may have to reside somewhere in my home, like the foyer, instead of hidden in the office. Plus, if you could see the current state of my desk you would know that grass cloth doesn't stand a chance.

I am not sure if I like this desk because of the material used or because it has shelves on the sides that I would put to great use.
While those are beauties, they are not necessarily wallet friendly. These from Ikea are cute and affordable.

For the one who likes feminine touches.....
Loving these from Z. Gallerie....

Then there is this one that also comes in different colors for only $169-
Which reminds me a lot of this one for double the price.
There was a fabulous, huge, antique desk on Ebay I wanted to share but it is gone, oh well.

PS- Someone asked me about a good neutral paint color a little while ago, maybe last week, but I can't find the question. If you are reading this will you send me the question again or leave a comment? Thanks!
