What I Wish The Easter Bunny Would Bring Me

1. Opi Kiss On The Chic and You Don't Know Jacques! The second color may look scary, but trust me, it is awesome-a great dark shade without being goth. Thanks Jenny for the tip.

2. This rug from Urban Outfitters, only $29.99 for a 5 x 7.3. While he is there I would like a Thru The Trees Chandelier also only $29.99. I think it would be cute in my office hanging over the corner of my desk.
4. This Sweet Addiction Boho tank from LuLu's brought to my attention by Blueprint Bliss.
5. A Ferdinand from Stray Dog Designs. Don't ask me for where, I don't know yet. Office, bathroom, guest bedroom?
But what color? Every time I go to their showroom at Market I stop and stare...

6. Okay, let's be honest, this is the rug I really want, preferably a 5 x 7 or a 8 x 10 please.
7. A girl can dream can't she? Chandelier HERE.I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and blessed Easter.

One Day Makeovers-Southern Accents

I was on Southern Accents yesterday when I saw the title "Updates You Can Do In A Day". Day makeovers? Sign me up! Here are a few:

*Forget The Frames- All these pictures except for one are attached directly to the wall. This would only work in certain spots with certain types of art, but I like it.
*Mix It Up- Use a variety of seating at the dining table. I LOVE this picture. The 2 benches are interesting. I am used to seeing one bench but this threw me for a loop but I think it works. (At least for the picture not sure about in real life)
*Strength In Numbers- This tip was about making a center piece that is not traditional- several different vessels. While I like the idea, the center piece is not the first thing I love about this room. The whole room has been a favorite room of mine since I first laid eyes on it.
*Dishy Display- Put items on display usually found in other rooms. Dishes in the bathroom? I like to use objects in unexpected places.
For their complete list of makeover ideas or for more details on the pictures seen here, visit Southern Accents.

Art on the Floor - Follow Up

After this post the other day, fellow blogger No.35 Style mentioned to me that she had painted her kitchen floors. Well, you know I had to see it so she sent me to these pictures.

Fabulous isn't it? Very well done!

Here are some more floors to inspire...

The picture above and below literally make me swoon.

Although in my dream house in my head all the floors are wide plank, worn, pickled and/or white washed; I may do a high gloss white somewhere....

One bullet point on my ever growing project list is to scrape off my front porch and paint large stripes on the floor. When I get around to that I am sure I will go to my local Benjamin Moore, but until then BM can help me research it here.
