More Color For One of My Favorite Holidays

Oh how I love this holiday! Warm weather, margaritas, cheese dip, mexican food in general (my favorite), festive decorations, what is not to love?
Tonight you will find me hopefully on a patio, ideally in a fantastic chair like these....


If I am at home I would like to pull up some fun chairs like these to a table of friends...Or maybe since I have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to go to Atlanta I will just take a relaxing bath thanks to this Margarita Salt Bath Bomb found HERE.

Weekend Project Gone Awry

I had hoped to post pictures of our weekend project which was painting the porch and fixing the side of the house. However, a torrential downpour has messed up my painted stripes so I will have to do some touching up first. Ahhhh! I know everyone loves before and afters so here are just a few pictures from a big project, our bathroom. This is what it looked like when we moved in.Notice the horrible vanity, eye sore light fixtures, ugly floor (these pictures really don't show the awfulness of it) and the textured walls (NOT in a good way).

It took a long time but we changed the vanity, scraped the walls, changed the light fixture, painted the floor (I would love to replace it but that is not in the cards right now).
I first saw the light in DWR for $2,000 and I told my husband, "I love this light and you are going to hate it but since it is $2,000 you don't have to worry about me getting it". The very next day I saw it in Z Gallerie for $300, I was destined to have it. I usually don't go for copy cats but when you have just moved into a new home the budget is tight. A few years later my husband likes it too.
Pictures on the wall are places we have been that really meant al ot to us.

I love this dress. Unfortunately, my Saturday is not going to consist of going to a lavish party, rather going to Lowe's for supplies for another house project. Details to follow.

Where The Black Paint Really Started

Yesterday I posted that I wanted to paint my cabinets black/charcoal, which I do, but the desire to paint something REALLY dark came from these. I know these pictures are probably not strangers to your eyes, but isn't nice to see them again?I LOVE Jenna Lyons' home seen in the last two pictures. The paint in her nursery inspired a nursery I recently completed but that will be for another day. Sorry this is so quick, I hope to post more later but I have to run!
