A Different Frame

A while back I showed this painting, by Chilean painter Victor H. Arevalo Silvo, my Dad gave to us. I loved it so much I knew I wanted to do something different to display it.Here is a picture without the glare.
I went to a local glass shop and had them cut two pieces of glass for the front and back and then asked them to drill 6 holes through each. I will say they thought I was crazy but they agreed to try. Well it worked and I connected the two with simple nuts and bolts from Home Depot, then ran a wire from one bolt to the other.
A closer view...
From the side...
The hardest part was getting the holes in the glass but other than that is was relatively simple. I will definitely be using this idea again.

Also a big thank you to A Perfect Gray for the Beautiful Blogger Award and Hamptontoes for the Happy 101 Award, you are too sweet for thinking about me, I appreciate it!!!!

I Had Not Seen....

I had not seen this room....
When I posted about this project...
But I think it is a good visual for what I had envisioned. Or maybe something closer to this...

Quiet Time- Happy Easter

And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. John 2:25
I posted this last year on Easter, it is my favorite verse:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

I Hope

Your Easter weekend is as colorful as this sofa....In a place as peaceful as this...

*Also, just a quick thank you to everyone who reads H&H. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate it. I have been very blessed to be extremely busy lately so my blog reading has taken a hit, but I promise I am trying to steal a little reading time every chance I get!

WYNNS PLACE

For My Next Project...

The "gray bins" at Michael's were calling my name so I ran by the other day to see what I could find. That is where I stumbled across this guy in the $1 up bins. I know it may not look like much for now (especially considering the model is broken), but I thought the wood model was pretty cool and had great potential. I see a bunch of these suspended from a ceiling on wire, possibly painted in a little ones room...I loved the ship but they have other options....
All of these were different shapes...
Just a thought, I will let you know when I use them down the road. BTW- along with great pencils, I was loving these knobs. I was tempted to buy some but I didn't. I wonder if I will regret that.....
