I was looking for a watercolor on Etsy for a client when I came across this...
You probably know by now my love for lions, well this is no exception. I wanted to press purchase immediately. Well I was able to exert some self control and went on to see what other lions needed to come live with me....
Love the regal feel of the one above and simplicity of the print below....

For some reason this one reminds me of Harry...

Speaking of artists I love...I was first introduced to Laura Trevey when a client of mine showed me these watercolors she bought on Etsy...(horrible picture, I snapped this to remember the colors, not thinking one day I would post it)It was love at first site. I LOVE watercolors and the fact that they are very affordable makes me love even more. On top of that I was pleased to find out that Laura is just as sweet as the paintings she makes. When I saw her new hydrangea series I knew I had to share them...

Monday's Are For Day Dreaming- Hyche In My Living Room

There are a lot of things that I contribute to the decorator I started in this business under, but not least is my love for John Hyche. I DREAM of owning one of his paintings. I have wanted to put him on here for a long time but pictures of his work don't do ANY justice to pieces. In person they are magic, interesting and mesmerizing. A native of Birmingham, he incorporates objects such as newspaper, netting, cardboard and many other materials that give his art such character and great texture. There is really I nothing I can add to his work so I will let you enjoy in peace.....
Unfortunately the color he uses does not show up here. I hope that you can see these in person at some point because they are just so wonderful, it is a shame that these pictures don't come close to the real thing. One day when I own one I will try to put up better pictures...

Times Are Tough

Trust me I know. That is why this poster made me smile and say AMEN!
I know the days are short, the holidays can get so stressful, you don't want to be at work, and all you hear is the sky is falling. Just remember to stop and be grateful and try to find comfort in the small things.
