Ahhh, here we are at the weekend, feels good. Sorry I have been somewhat MIA this week. I thought being Spring Break things would slow down a little but not this year. I hope you have a wonderful Friday/weekend. I promise to be back Monday with something more exciting.

I've Got Sunshine

I know the time change has made it hard to get up in the morning but I LOVEEEEE it. I swear it is one of favorite times of the year. The extra sunlight in the evening makes me a much happier person.

When I saw both of these pictures I thought, "I am saving this for inspiration for our future kid's rooms". (Not pregnant BTW) Do you ever wonder how two completely different styles can define your style equally well?

I wonder if a child goes from having the first room to the second room over the course of a few years if she would then carry the "confused" trait too.....

Afternoon Snack

I needed a little color and came across an old favorite. Things to love in this room: The print on the canopy and the pink inside, the headboard- fabric and shape, the funky cactus lamp, the styling on the left side table- the books between the bear bookends, the colorful print leaning on the wall.
Also it is hard to see but there is a long bolster behind the shams that throws in a little of another pattern, I love that detail.

There are a lot of elements I like in this room but the curtains described as "wool paisley" really peak my interest. I would love to see them up close.

The Committee Has Been Meeting...All Week

Knowledge of the business is not all that I learned while working for Jenny, the person I started in the interior decorating business with. You see, Jenny and her family have their own sayings and phrases that I picked up along the way too. One of my favorites is "The Committee was meeting". This phrase is used to describe a night when you couldn't sleep because your brain would not turn off enough to let you rest peacefully. Whether it is worrying about something, or thinking about the day's events or what is to come tomorrow, it is really just your mind on overdrive. Well this week for me "the committee was meeting" every night. I am a bad sleeper though so this should not come as a surprise to those who know me well. So, when the committee meets all I can think about is getting back in bed! I thought a little collection of these would be fitting to send us into the weekend....

I know most of you have seen these before, that is because all the pictures came from my Domino file, tear. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that a great nights sleep is ahead!

Mondays Are For...Sleeping

Usually to get me over the Monday blahs I like to indulge in daydreaming. However, yesterday I went a tear- painting, moving furniture, upholstering, so all I really want to do is go to sleep! (pictures of the projects coming tomorrow). So I thought who better to get some bed inspiration from than one of my favorite magazines, Domino!
How peaceful is the bedroom above? I can't even begin to name all the things I like in the picture below-the bed, the rug, the lamps.....
I have thought many times about using a screen as a headboard...
LOVE the wallpaper, I could jump into that bed right now, yawn....
And a special treat, some before and afters, who doesn't like some b&a?
If that nook below was in my house I would not be able to work at home, period, the end.
Anyone notice the rug? Coincidence, I think not.
The B & A below is my favorite, can you even believe it is the same room?
Okay, off to start the week. I hope y'all have a great week and I appreciate everyone who reads my blog, y'all make my day, even Monday!
