In The Mood For White Curtains...

Is it because being inside for months makes me think about changing things around in my house? Or that Spring around the corner makes me want a clean palette and fresh surroundings? Not sure what it is but I am definitely wanting some big, fluffy, white curtains for my home. Actually big, white, silk curtains to be exact (which would really not fit in this home at all and is usually not my first choice). I don't know, just one of those random urges...(sorry for the bad scans) LOVE the room below...

Even on beds...
Hello dream room...
The room in the Jan/Feb Elle Decor that started this infatuation...

The good news is, if should I decide to act on this urge, you can find reasonable white curtains almost everywhere (since at the moment getting them made is not an option).
Above, Pottery Barn-LOVE LOVE LOVE the bordered roman shades beneath the panels. Below, Ballard Designs- not a pole pocket fan though.
I must say, Restoration Hardware has some of the prettiest silk curtains, in all different styles if you are going to go the store bought route.
Well you know I couldn't leave off the old BFF West Elm.
* BTW- Just a warning, West Elm does not put a liner on the back of the curtains which drives me CRAZY. Pet Peeve- driving by homes with different curtains in every window in several colors. I know that unless you getting them made the liners are not going to match, but at least they can all be similiar in color. Sorry, that is me being a picky decorator.

Photos, in order from top-First 2 pictures I am guessing Veranda but I am not 100% sure, Traditional Home March 08, first bed-Traditional Home May 07, Elle Decor, Elle Decor Jan/Feb 09, Veranda

**I started pulling out pictures long before I ever thought of doing a blog so I do not have a lot of the information I would like about pictures. If you ever recognize one and have additional information I would love to have it since I think it is unfair to not give credit where it is due.

Have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Wrap Up Part 1

Hello! I have missed you. I thought I would start this week with a little wrap up of last week. Rainy Days + 1 Week of being home in Nashville=A Lot of Random Pictures
***Many of these pictures are taken on my crappy camera phone or in stealth mode trying not to look crazy, needless to say they are not the best***
Let's start with some random finds at the mall:Some great natural wood containers from Z Gallerie...This is a fantastic lamp from Pottery Barn and very affordable, I had looked at it online but had not seen it in person and I was pleasantly surprised. The bedding below made me want to jump in the display bed, diamond and velvet, in the white color it is divine...Plates at Anthropologie-I could spend hours in Anthropologie, I could spend so much money in that store. In my "one day home" I have a collection of fabulous, different and interesting plates, click HERE for more...I am DYING for a trumeau, I will wait until I can afford an authentic antique one like this-But if I get impatient there is always this one from Anthropologie...
These are the sweetest salt and pepper shakers...
You know my love for West Elm runs deep, not sure why these are the pictures I have since the store had so many things I wanted...

This blanket is on my Christmas list, chunky, soft, perfect for those cold winter nights...LOVE LOVE LOVE the diamond bedding, very similar to the Pottery Barn above...
I have wanted this pillow for a while, I was disappointed to feel how rough it is...These are so versatile, I am kicking myself for not getting them, on sale no less
Saved the best for last...I know there are THOUSANDS of beautiful and exquisite window displays out there this Christmas, but the simple black and white winter pictures in Banana Republic make me so happy.
