Hate To See You Go LNT

Not sure what happened to Linens n' Things but I truly hate to see a business go under. I did not shop there very much, but LNT used to have some great stuff from Nate Berkus (much more on him down the road). The good news is everything has been discounted and while the pickings are slim there are still some good finds left...Magazine racks...I have been looking for a cheap one for a while. These may not be the most amazing ever, but they will be fine tucked away to the side.

When in doubt go for white plates. I love the crispness of all white dinnerware. Food looks good on it and you can go in so many directions with surrounding table decorations. There are several to choose from.

Yes, I am completely embarrassed that I put such a poor picture up but I had to show y'all what made my heart leap at first sight. In this one piece are three of my loves- Gray, Lace and Coats. I know it sounds crazy, especially coming from a decorator, but my favorite color is GRAY. While some may see it as a cold color, I think it can be very warm while still remaining very clean. This week I will be sharing some of my favorite gray items, starting with furniture...

Speaking of my One Day home, one or two these will be in it somewhere.....

I would add some great pillows but that will be for another day.

Made from cheap filing cabinets painted gray, restoration hardware pulls and a stainless steel top from Ikea, it is just one of my do it yourself projects. (And yes, this picture was taken on a clean day).
