Pattern on pattern on pattern for a small office space could really inspire some hard work.

...i just really like the balance in this room

...the last three are just pieces ive found all over that i really liked this week... and yes, id put them all in the same room.

console tables...

...I really enjoy seeing new console solutions and the many different varieties there are. Either in an entry way or behind a sofa these tables can really add some space to a room and also invite you in. Back home in Newport in my apartment i was rather proud of myself for using an antique wooden ironing board under a very large guilt mirror in my entry way...not always expected but definetly unique... plus think of all the beautiful objects that can adorn these tables...

Some Nursery Color Palettes

Okay, I almost didn't do this post because the colors on the paint chips did NOT scan well at all. Disclaimer: THESE ARE NOT ACCURATE COLORS JUST BE WARNED! However, I decided to post this because the color combinations are REALLY GREAT and I if you are looking to paint to you should definitely go to Lowe's and check out these colors from Martha Stewart for Valspar.

These colors are really a pale, pale blue, a creamy yellow and retro green

A sweet cream/white that could turn slightly pink with white and brown/gray accent colors. This would be good in a girly nursery that has a lot of florals, pinks and white.

This combination is VERY soothing. Just the name-Bleached Driftwood-screams my name. It really is a non-color color, a very light gray/blue/brown with a calm green/blue accent strip and a white accent color too. This combination could be used in so many rooms...I would love to see the Bleached Driftwood on the walls and the blue color MS313 on the ceiling...

Love this for a girls room, may have to use this one day... Deep charcoal with a very light milk chocolate accent-MS174 and a very pale pink accent as well-

It is reminiscent of Jenna Lyons nursery in this month's Domino magazine (I know everyone LOVES her house and I am no different), you need to check out the rest of her article...

And finally, this one is not necessarily nursery, but I love the clean crisp white and gray scheme. The picture I love and it is actually on the front of a paint chip.

**Again, these colors are not accurate, please know they are MUCH MUCH better in person

And the highest bidder is...

Who doesn't love Ebay? Some finds in the category of CHAIRS

Accent chairs for any room-

I see these in a young couples home, they are fun, laid back and have a sense of humor....Or in a home surrounded by plain, neutral pieces and they are the one pop of color.

These remind me of the McAlpine Lee chairs...

Can't you see these reupholstered in a great fabric, maybe painted too?
Poker anyone? These would make any game table that much better-
Where to start? Love the color*Love the details* Love the shape*
Great dining room chairs.

West Elm + Sale = One Happy Decorator

You will find that I have a minor obsession with West Elm. In fact, it is safe to say that I love Love LOVE West Elm. I just received the new catalogue so I am sure this will not be the only post in the next few days on W.E. So without further adieu here are just some of the sale items up for grabs..
RUGS: (one of my favorite home items)
If I had $10 for every one of these rugs I have put in a clients home then those Frye boots (see previous post) would have been mine a long time ago.

Seriously though, they are a GREAT deal and very versatile. The rugs work and look different in every house- runners, as a main rug, under a smaller area rug, kitchens, you name it. This is the only product I use over and over in homes.

Zebra, got to love it-

Geometric - a quality always high on my list

How cute would this be in a nursery?

Be sure to check out the bedding, accessories, and furniture-

Designed for summer use but would work well as Holiday decor too

Pop in a paper white and some stones and you have an instant way to brighten your day (or someone else's)

And last but not least....
I have this headboard - in another color- and it is one my favorite things I own. I never want to change it out (virtually impossible for a decorator) and so many people have complimented it.....@ $189 for a king you need one too.

How To Stay Warm in Tough Times

Believe it or not, Old Navy has some great coats this fall and now they are on sale. You may be surprised at some of the designs....for cheap!
Check out the coat above in the other great colors.
