My Coffee Table's Christmas List

What is it about coffee table books that makes them so crave worthy? I bet I have not looked completely through most of the ones I own, but I always want more. Here are just some on my list, some I can't believe I don't own yet....

I love French decorating and Betty Lou Phillips has some great books on the subject. I want to LIVE in this room.....

I love the cover of this book-

Another designer with several great books...

I Love Africa and these books would add some great colors to any coffee table....
Can't believe I don't have these yet...

Probably my Nashville roots, but when I saw this in the book store the other day I was so drawn to it, it is from a different era...

Horsing Around-Thanksgiving Wrap Up Part 2

Last week we went to dinner over at my friend Erin's house (who is an interior designer) and when we walked in I was instantly in love. The West Elm rug, the hand stenciled wall and the large chess pieces. I thought they were great.....Then I saw these...
I am obsessed. These fun pieces are part of a large scale set salvaged by her husband that she painted white, they are fabulous! I must have had horses on the brain because everywhere I went after that they were popping up.

First spotting was in Z Gallerie, I love the detail on the saddle, well done.

I have always been drawn to these pillows by Thomas Paul

Then there is this one from Wisteria, pretty in its own way. Rustic, simple, charming.

Can't forget about Jonathon Adler, reinventor of the horse...

Although looking back through some old pictures I guess I was enticed by the traditional animal starting with this find in Birmingham...
Not typically my style but for some reason they grab me....

Thanksgiving Wrap Up Part 1

Hello! I have missed you. I thought I would start this week with a little wrap up of last week. Rainy Days + 1 Week of being home in Nashville=A Lot of Random Pictures
***Many of these pictures are taken on my crappy camera phone or in stealth mode trying not to look crazy, needless to say they are not the best***
Let's start with some random finds at the mall:Some great natural wood containers from Z Gallerie...This is a fantastic lamp from Pottery Barn and very affordable, I had looked at it online but had not seen it in person and I was pleasantly surprised. The bedding below made me want to jump in the display bed, diamond and velvet, in the white color it is divine...Plates at Anthropologie-I could spend hours in Anthropologie, I could spend so much money in that store. In my "one day home" I have a collection of fabulous, different and interesting plates, click HERE for more...I am DYING for a trumeau, I will wait until I can afford an authentic antique one like this-But if I get impatient there is always this one from Anthropologie...
These are the sweetest salt and pepper shakers...
You know my love for West Elm runs deep, not sure why these are the pictures I have since the store had so many things I wanted...

This blanket is on my Christmas list, chunky, soft, perfect for those cold winter nights...LOVE LOVE LOVE the diamond bedding, very similar to the Pottery Barn above...
I have wanted this pillow for a while, I was disappointed to feel how rough it is...These are so versatile, I am kicking myself for not getting them, on sale no less
Saved the best for last...I know there are THOUSANDS of beautiful and exquisite window displays out there this Christmas, but the simple black and white winter pictures in Banana Republic make me so happy.

A Case of the Mondays

I know, it is Monday morning and you are feeling blah. Don't fret my friends, I have something to make you feel better...I Heart Luxe has just come out with their 2008 gift guide and it is good! Here are just some of my favorites-I always lose my keys, it drives me Crazy!!!! Maybe this key chain can keep me organized.

Vintage letter press letters, so many uses
Watches are my thing, this one will have to be mine...

Speaking of "things"-I have a thing for bird feeders, but more on this later in the week...

Now this is a light fixture, I LOVEEEEE lights......

No I don't expect the husband to buy me these Tiffany earrings for Christmas, but they sure are nice to look at....

For my magazines....

I know so many of you LOVE this (Alexia) and I am no different, so fitting for a Monday.
