Gilt & ShelterPop- A Match Made In Heaven

Today ShelterPop and Gilt are teaming up for a fabulous sale that will run through Saturday featuring goods for the home. Be sure to go check it out as items will be going quickly. (Also, the first 5,000 people to sign up will get a $10 Gilt credit). One item for sale will be this SFERRA 1891 Gimlet quilt, $70-$90 for a twin/queen. If you are not familiar with SFERRA, their bedding is a.m.a.z.i.n.g.
I would use this quilt on a bed in a neutral room as an easy way add color. For example, as a change from the yellow (easy to change back and forth)...
Or maybe thrown across the chair or folded on the bench...

This is a great example of where I was going with adding just a little color...
Here is a great visual as well...

Advice Needed

Sadly, yesterday my everyday camera met the same fate as so many of my previous phones, sunglasses and cameras had met before...it was dropped for the last time. It was inevitable really. So, I need a new camera for everyday use, and I mean every...single...day. I have a nicer camera for "occasions" but I need a good but cheap camera to carry around in the ole purse. Previously I have had 2 x Sony Cyber-shots that I liked a lot. I don't know if I should carry on that tradition or try something else, perhaps a Nikon Coolpix or some sort of Canon?Any suggestions?

10.5.2010 INSPIRATION

" one wishbone to pick with you. youre acting for stage. and this is a film. distance and reference is everything. this perspective isnt fixed. this gaze cant be broken. talk simple utter languages. youre mostly just always almosting. dont care what you say, just mean what youre saying. now in this scene make believe a siren yellow taxi ambulance lures a loose buck'd drunk from the rocks and sighs i cant drive tonight. every photograph hides a mirror in its flash. and i would only want to make a film if it was in french. and i dont speak french"

Going The Distance

I was reading the Kitchen of the Year Issue of House Beautiful the other day and one thing in particular caught my eye, the table. I thought it was cool to begin with but then when I realized it extended onto the counter I loved it even more.It is hard to see in these pictures but this one probably has the best view of the counter.

Quiet Time

Today I want to do a special Quiet Time post for all military families and anyone out there who might be feeling scared right now. Last week someone very special shared this verse with me and it seemed fitting to post it today:

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your sheilf and rampart. Psalm 91:4.
