Knock Knock
My favorite homes are the ones that exude character. Unfortunately these days with cookie cutter houses at every turn, those homes are hard to come by. So, what is decorator to do? Focus on the details........ Antique Spanish doors for starters.
Imagine what these could do for a home....
They could be front doors:

Or in this case an entry for my "One Day Store"
Statement making entries to Master Bedroom Suites-
Oh what I would do for Arched doorways............I am drooling over the one below-
Closet doors.....

The possibilities are endless. All doors shown from http://www.porteradoors.com. Check out local architectural shops, estate sales, antique shows, etc. for other options.

The Lone Ranger's Home
I was so excited to open my e-mail and see that the "The Lone Ranger" sent me some pictures of his house. This is the home of the owner of Lone Ranger Antiques that I posted about last week. Let me just say that I am ALWAYS thrilled when people send me pictures, especially of their homes, please keep them coming!
I enjoy seeing what people collect, it speaks volumes about them and this is a cool collection.

Simple bed, but very unique

I would love to know the history of these.....

You already know I love Swedish clocks, but I also love red.....needless to say it is love. And while I am at it I will take the boots too please.
Thanks Jeff!

Something to Brighten Your Day

Something pretty to look at to ward off the Monday Blahs...Love the flowers, love the vase, love all the colors in this picture including the back ground color.

Mondays Are For Day Dreaming.....
How nice would it be if Oscar (as in de la Renta) and I were Best Friends?
We could hang out at his house and laugh about old times in Milan
We could sit in his living room where he would say, "Why don't you take this dress for your upcoming holiday cocktail parties"....

"And this one for Christmas with the family"...........
"What about this one for a special date-night with the husband when things get hectic in the coming season."
"I insist you take this for that Black Tie Ball all our friends are going to".....

And I would say, "Oh Oscar, you are too good to me........then we would stroll through his gardens discussing Spring of '09...
I love day dreams......

Swedish Antiques
I have a thing for Swedish antiques, a BIG thing. I am not sure if it is the color, the quiet character, the unexpected details, who knows but it is love. So, when it comes to furnishing my "One Day House" I will definitely be going to www.LoneRangerAntiques.com....

What do I not like in this picture? That would be NOTHING! There is even a moose in the background that makes me smile.
I want want want you my little bench. I think I would add a cushion made out of a fabulous velvet or raw silk to this bench.

Demilune tables are so versatile.
I KNOW I am in the minority on this, but I LOVE Swedish clocks. I will have one, one day, you heard it here.

You don't see many high bed foot boards these days, I will have to use one somewhere soon. The upholstered ends = plenty of room to customize
How good would a pair of these look in a children's bedroom? Surrounded by bright colors, they would be divine.
