Monday's Are For Daydreaming...A Showhouse Indeed

When I pulled out my Veranda and saw the Greystone Show House, I had no idea that it would hold so many rooms I would want in my house. Just look at the fixture below...
Where do I begin about the room above and below? Well maybe I should start with the color...Grey, my favorite.
The bedrooms with their colors make me so happy. The little lanterns above each twin bed make me swoon. The picture on the left is proof that twin beds can be in an adult room.

I am usually not a fan of matching wallpaper and curtains, but this room peeks my interest.
How fun is the metallic ceiling and heads on the wall?
The dining room is perfection. I LOVE this room.

What a cool room, I don't even know what would be my favorite part...

Between the stone walls, the funky light, the natural flooring, the large trees, I could definitely relax and read in here.
I don't think I will ever want a room this grand in my house, but this one is easy on the eyes...
Even the outside is extraordinary. For all the pictures visit VERANDA, although this is probably an issue that you will want to see in person. It's a keeper.

Chevron Print: On You or On The Floor?

When cleaning up my pictures I realized I left this off my daydream dress post. Another DVF I love. Is it bad that it instantly reminded me of this?

Four Pictures to Start the Weekend

The first two pictures I took the other day at Interiors Market are of a booth that just struck me. Not sure if it is the calm feeling, beautiful items, or that the sun just happened to be shining on it when I walked by, but I had to stop and stare.
The next two are a preview of what I will dreaming about on Monday.Have a great weekend!

Plenty of Soul to Go Around

Good news my fellow residents of the 'Ham, a new soul has come to town.
I know these are trying times, including many store closings, but a new light has come to Birmingham. (If you don't live here don't despair, there are many locations)
(I want to make this fixture into a sconce)
On the main strip of Homewood, Nadeau has opened its newest store with lots of treats to be found. The best part is this store, whose logo is "Furniture With A Soul" , is very easy on the piggy bank.
Doesn't this bookcase seen HERE, look very similiar for a fraction of the cost? From large pieces to small they have a little bit of everything.

Including things for those feeling a little funky....
Something for the Tots....So cute

To see more pieces and find additional locations (across the US) visit them HERE.

It is worth a trip to see what they have. Tell Jessica I sent you!

If You Ever Need To Buy Me A Gift....(A Big Gift That Is)

Wisteria is without a doubt one of my favorite catalogs to get. I am completely enamored with their furniture and accessories. This piece has long been a favorite of mine, one day they will stop carrying it and it will become "the piece that got away".So, I was not surprised when I saw this sofa on The Newlywed Diaries and I almost fell out of my chair, I was stunned by love at first sight.
This sofa screams MARIANNE, it is so me. So I decided to go visit my old friend and see what was new. This type of furniture is my favorite, raw, aged, natural fabrics, limed. Tufted ottoman, I could use you in so many houses I am working on. Bright orange chair, I could use you in my dining room.
Yes, yes, yes. These twin headboards are to die for, not too shabby pushed together either....

These candle holders look very similiar to other ones that are out there, but they are actually made of oyster shells.
Just a fun pillow, harder to find than you may think.
This reminds me of a rug from Ikea that I can't find right now. While I normally don' t like things with "this" feel- for lack of a MUCH better word, I can see using this in a room with not a lot going on as a focal point.

All pieces can be found on WISTERIA.

Sale For the Locals

If you are in the Birmingham area I have just been told by Brooke, that Ob la di in Homewood is going out of business and several of their items are substantially on sale, including Dwell Studio and Thomas Paul.
If you are in the area you should go check it out. Another store that will be missed!

Don't Call Me Stuffy

This ad caught my eye. The different uses are perfect, especially the one about throwing clothes on it in the bedroom, not that I ever do that...hee hee.
