Help!!! Calling All Animal Lovers

Dear Bloggers,

The wonderful Kelee @ The Katillac Shack brought to my attention a growing problem in America, dogs being abandoned at an alarming rate due to tough times. We can help though! Design Gives Back will donate money to help this cause for every one of these scarfs that is decorated.
Here is the one I made for Harry (unfortunately the cute part at the top was lost when I folded it over).....However the more creative you are the better, check out Miss Puggles! I think I need to meet her owner!
So, if you want to donate to the cause or decorate a scarf please visit The Katillac Shack. Kelee will send you one for free if you are one of the first 150 to e-mail her your address @ kelee@prodigy.net. For every scarf decorated $10 will be donated to help abandoned pets!

Speaking of Fathers....

Happy Father's Day to first man who stole my heart! Love you more than words could ever say....

Quiet Time- Remember Whose You Are

My very, very dear friend Kara sent this to me one time when I needed to hear it:

Remember WHOSE you are. You are God's child

Remember WHAT God has promised you - the priceless gift of eternal life

Remember WHO will see you through -God will protect you until you reach your final destination: heaven.

Remember WHY God lets you go through trials - God wants to test the genuineness of your faith so that your life will result in praise and glory when Jesus returns. Although it is great to spend time on a "spiritual mountaintop" we cannot stay there forever. More often than not, at the bottom of that mountain lies cold, hard reality. Yet fruit grows best in the valleys not on the mountaintops. Our greatest character development takes place when we take what we have learned on the mountaintop and put it into practice in the valley.

The first time I read this it really hit me, I am God's child. I had it heard millions of times before but this time it stuck. I can't tell you the comfort I find in remembering I am God's child.

The Committee Has Been Meeting...All Week

Knowledge of the business is not all that I learned while working for Jenny, the person I started in the interior decorating business with. You see, Jenny and her family have their own sayings and phrases that I picked up along the way too. One of my favorites is "The Committee was meeting". This phrase is used to describe a night when you couldn't sleep because your brain would not turn off enough to let you rest peacefully. Whether it is worrying about something, or thinking about the day's events or what is to come tomorrow, it is really just your mind on overdrive. Well this week for me "the committee was meeting" every night. I am a bad sleeper though so this should not come as a surprise to those who know me well. So, when the committee meets all I can think about is getting back in bed! I thought a little collection of these would be fitting to send us into the weekend....

I know most of you have seen these before, that is because all the pictures came from my Domino file, tear. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that a great nights sleep is ahead!

Good Things Come To Those Who Wait....

Remember these boots from HERE. Well the Frye Paige Cuff Boot in Slate never actually found its way to my house even though I really thought it might have at Christmas. I digress. Anyhoo, for over a year now I have been on a search for a more affordable gray boot. I have tried many, and by many I mean all that are out there. Then randomly the other day while "just peeking" to see if the Paige boots came down any I came across these. They came last night and they are SOOOOOO cute. I love them and for $90 they are a steal. Now it just has to get cold again. There is nothing like buying boots in June when it is 97 degrees outside.

The man in the brown uniform handing me this package was the highlight of my day. My phone, internet and fax are all down so that made for a long day. They are not up yet but hopefully will be soon so if you are waiting to hear from me I hope to be back soon, sorry for the inconvience!
