One Day...

"First shown in 1973, From Point and and From Line introduced a new system or process in Lee's work based on a notion of lived time- the perpetual passing of the present. Critics argues that these paintings should be experienced as temporal records of continual repetition rather than as conventional spatial compositions. This interpretation took the viewer's participation into account; standing before these works, we experience time as a process of continual becoming.
Lee understood process as a system of connectivity between distinct components that offered a threshold to infinity. 'Each moment...occurs only once, ' he wrote, 'but because everything is a continuation of single moments, it is necessary for them to repeat and resonate with each other.' These works take a systematic, Minimalist approach to painting to create a bodily record of time passing, with each vertical stroke completed in a single breath."
Color At The Lake...
If I have said it once, I have said it 20 times- I heart Kay Douglass. I was so excited to come across her lake house last night on Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. I love that she uses so much white, yet bright color. While I love pretty neutrals I crave color in doses just like this.
One of these days I am going to have a fuschia wing chair.
